cetera
I can't stand seeing so many basses (many of them 'vintage') all just leaned up against/on top of each other! 🤯 Still, with that many basses he probably can't afford the same amount of stands.... 1

A rough estimate gives me 20 bass cases per cubic metre, so we're talking about 50 cubic metres (allowing for a walkway between the stacks..?). That's with the cases stacked flat, 20 high, in a room 5m x 5m. A tight squeeze; some basses need bigger cases than the 'average joe' I counted on. A bit tough if the one you want to play is at the back, at the bottom.
itu
It has to be pricey to change string on a regular basis.
Doctor J
I posted about him a little while back. Many of his basses are hanging on the walls in Zwick bar in Hamburg, too close to the junkies of Reeperbahn for comfort, including a large array of Ritters as you walk in the door all within touching distance. The wife and I were there in May. There are a few Alembics and other desirables further in along with plenty of spurious no-name and budget brand stuff. Worth a look all the same if you're in the city.
Doctor J
By "many" I mean I didn't count but, from memory, I'd guess at least 60, probably more. There were 12 Ritters in the doorway, just to start off with 😂
