basshead56
But is it really silver either?! Show me your sparkly or metallic finishes. Here are my 3 (allegedly) silver basses: Am Pro II Jazz in Mercury Danelectro DC Bass in silversparkle 60th Ann RW Jazz in Firemist Silver
KingBollock
My very first love/bass was a glorious silver/grey sparkle, Westone Raider I. The only sparkly bass I own now is a 5 string version of this Cort T series. Neither of these photos are mine.
SPHDS
Not the best pic, but I'm not at home at the moment, so had to raid my camera roll..... Squier Affinity P, purchased for £80 from eBay..... Neither of these photos are mine. That's my old T34! Wish I still had it... But never mind - instead I have this, and I'm inclined to think, in the context of this thread, it means I WIN! The pic's a good representation of the (awesome) colour but doesn't do justice to the sparkliness. It'll be getting an update shortly as the pickguard's started delaminating, and needs replacing. I was never super happy with the shape & want to remodel it to reflect the design of the gold pickguard on the original 50s Rick 4000 bass. And it just so happens you can get gold glitter pickguard material. - well, who knew? In other sparkly news, to keep the Pink Thing company I have this, from the Dark Side:

rwillett
I was planning on making my next bass to be a sparkly blue. However after seeing these, I am going to have to go back to the drawing board and find something a lot more sparkly to make I am a mere amateur here and need to up my game... LeftyJ
No glittery basses for me at the moment, unfortunately. I love a good sparkle finish! My Status 5-string is somewhat metallic (anthracite) but very subtly. I do have this though: Carvin DC727 7-string guitar. One-piece maple neck-through, alder wings, ebony board with MOP blocks, matching headstock and very elaborate active electronics: 2-band active EQ, passive tone (only works in passive mode), coil split for each pickup and a phase switch. She's a real beast! Edited November 18 by LeftyJ
BassAgent
It's not mine but this is for sale here in the Netherlands and I'm sooooooo tempted. Fender CS 1960 gold sparkle.
LeftyJ
That's lush, but the combination of sparkle AND crackle is a bit much IMO. I can't help but think of crackled gold foil.
