BassAgent
Recently, I've bought two basses that are STB and 35" (both Laklands, 55-02 and JO5) and I'm looking for a set of strings that would work on them. I've read things about (regular long scale) DRs. Would they be the only ones that would fit, except for extra long scale strings?
itu
Don't know about DRs. GHS long scale plus and some D'Addario sets have been long enough for my former MG Quantum 35" and a custom fretless 36".
chris_b
IME all long scale strings should 35" basses. I mostly used DR Lo-Riders and Hi-Beams on my Laklands. I never thought there was a noticeable difference between the two ways of stringing. After a couple of attempts I just strung through the bridge. PS nice basses Edited August 24 by chris_b
Supernaut
From memory, GHS, DR and D'Addario will fit 35" scale with standard long scale strings.

LeftyJ
Elixir offers some of their sets in extra long scale. Be weary of the ones with a taperwound low B, as its thinner section is probably only useful on basses where they're strung through the bridge and not through the body.
