Cort Elrick NJS5 White - immaculate - open to offers £750 Clacton-on-Sea

Probably the most beautiful bass I've ever owned and yet she needs to go as funds demand.

 

Read up on this instrument. It is so well specced and plays beautifully. Zero fret, custome Elrick electronics, so well balanced that switching from passive to active gives absolutely no volume change. Having said that the active eq is so good you will want to stay active!

 

Basically a factory produced edition of an hand made Rob Elrick bass, using identical electronics and pickups. 

 

White might not seem the most inspiring colour but with the maple neck and white pearloid inlays it is gorgeous. The instrument is virtually unmarked (ie I haven't spotted any)

 

Called the New Jazz Standard for a reason. It's a Jazz at heart but improved in all areas. Complete with custom gig bag and original shipping box.

 

I'm open to reasonable offers - and dependent on where you are based I'd be happy to offer personal delivery.

I just became the proud owner of one of these this week (also in white) and I am thoroughly smitten with it. Gigging it this evening and if midweek rehearsal was anything to go by, it's going to sound immense.

Saw the London African gospel choir last night and 99% convinced the bassist had one of these. (No scratch plate though). It sounded immense. Good luck with the sale.

I should also mention that the low B string is the best for string tension I've ever tried. Not flappy or flabby at all. The 35" scale probably helps.

I'm pretty sure the Elrick version has Bartolini pickups unlike this Cort model. Fine bass either way 👌

You could be right. The EQ is definitely the same. After all, they couldn't make it too similar or what would be the point of Rob Elrick hand making his?

But as you say Fine bass! For the money I haven't played better. Beats a Fender Jazz hands down in all departments, period.

Definitely open to offers - and feel free to discuss delivery to you. If its mainland UK there may be options to do just that so cutting out the risk of destructive couriers!
