There's a coincidence, someone was asking about cheap P basses to stick some electronics into and I mentioned the Sue Ryder.

I bought a classical SR from one of their shops years ago. 
It was a lovely playing instrument, nicely made and a decent tone. 
I also bought one the basses, but it became a triggers broom with only the body remaining after all the “upgrades”. Moved on soon after.

I bought 2 , upgraded them and sold them on . They were great for the money and some upgrade practice.
