Big fan of the 80s Japanese thing but im pretty sure I saw the SB1000 was around the £2500 mark.

They look lovely and authentic apart from the string spacing, which for me was always one of the best things about these.

Will these be Japanese or Korean (samick) made, like my SB-CB (which is one of the best instruments I have ever owned!) ?

my 2 SBR-150s were amazing. I sold my 2nd one just before lockdown. It was too heavy for my ageing back/neck and shoulders

The Pro series will be made in Japan from what I gather (and priced accordingly!)

 

Think there's more budget friendly ones available but maybe not these models.

There's the SB-ONE which looks a lot more budget friendly.

It bugs me that the bridges & knobs are generic off-the-shelf parts, and not recreations of the originals. Also, looking at the specs, these have standard Fender style neck proportions, not the wide, near-parallel neck & tight string spacing the original SB series had. They'll feel & play nothing like an original SB.
