Ramsay777 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Saw these a while ago, don't think they've been posted here. https://www.instagram.com/ariaguitars?igsh=MXEzOGQxcXMxb20zcg== Big fan of the 80s Japanese thing but im pretty sure I saw the SB1000 was around the £2500 mark. 1 Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 They look lovely and authentic apart from the string spacing, which for me was always one of the best things about these. 1 Quote
basshead56 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Ohhhhh, i like the look of these. Will these be Japanese or Korean (samick) made, like my SB-CB (which is one of the best instruments I have ever owned!) ? Quote
police squad Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 my 2 SBR-150s were amazing. I sold my 2nd one just before lockdown. It was too heavy for my ageing back/neck and shoulders But awesome. I'd love another Quote
Skybone Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Oooh, will have to investigate that. Always loved the SB range. Quote

The Pro series will be made in Japan from what I gather (and priced accordingly!) Think there's more budget friendly ones available but maybe not these models. Quote

Bassassin Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 It bugs me that the bridges & knobs are generic off-the-shelf parts, and not recreations of the originals. Also, looking at the specs, these have standard Fender style neck proportions, not the wide, near-parallel neck & tight string spacing the original SB series had. They'll feel & play nothing like an original SB. 1 Quote
