Andertons are doing a Fender Pro ii sale as well.

Makes me think there may be a new range launching, unless it's linked to the over production issues they were having a while back

Typical, I finally buy an American Pro II and they discontinue the model and swap it out for a Pro III within a week 🤣🤣🤣

Will be interesting to see if it's a discontinuation or a way to shift unsold stock.

Given it's the Big "F", i'm picking there may well be something 'new' coming.

New V-Mod pickups or maybe the Cobalts, new version of the same bridge and new colours. Maybe a new case too...

I'm sure all will be revealed in due course...

The Professional I was launched in 2017, the Pro II followed in 2020. So, it is indeed time for the Pro III.

Over at TB, when they launched the Player Plus in 2021, I already wrote:

"Looks like Fender's marketing people really love the letter "P": Professional I, Professional II, Performer, Player and now Player Plus.

What next? Power, Progress, Proficiency, Prestige, Privilege, Popular, Phenomenon, Pure, Paradigm, Preference, Paramount, Pleasure, Premiere, Pinnacle, Premium, Prowess, Purity, or Peak?" 🙂

Haven’t played a new fender in ages - I do recall the 2013(?) American Standards - when they introduced the custom shop pickups etc - they were bloody lovely basses.

@Lozz196 will correct me I’m sure.

I’d love another Fender at some point.

Always wonder what happened to my sunburst 1997 jazz i bought with money I got doing work experience and a paper round.

id know it anywhere - had a weird tweak/knot on the forearm contour under the finish.

Oh no, I know where this is going. Now everyone will try to locate your former bass. Someone will eventually find it in some obscure part of the world. With the help of several other Basschatters you will be re-united with your 97 Jazz. You will be be super happy with it until..., well...., you sell it again after a few months 🙂

No correction required (sounds a bit like a Phil Collins album?) imo the 2013 American Standards are the best range Fender have made
