I have a BF Midget which is really light. I also have a GRBass 208 (2 x 8" with tweeter) - which is 4Ohm. You are welcome to try either or both out - but not at the same time as I need to use one of them. We can meet up as before.

BTW The Barefaced Midget is 48 x 34 x 34 cm at  9kg and 8 Ohms. The GRBass 208 is W29 x D31.5 x H57.5 cm at 11.2kg and 4Ohms.

OTOH as you know, I use (wireless) IEM and often no backline. But if your BL is against IEM and won't let you change the desk then how how something like a Rolls Personal monitor  (PM351) whereby you can have your own IEMs and control the mix of your bass and the feed from the mixer in.

Have you ever tried no amp? Just a pedal direct to PA?

It sounds crazy, but it's much easier and better than you think. You get all the bass goodness through the PA and can hear everyone else better without your bass masking them.

Even better if all your band can do it.

If not, the lightest combos I found were the new ashdown studios.

I think I'm sorted. I've picked up two TE 1 X 10 cabs from @fleabag Each weighs 7kg or just a bit more than my cat. I needed an amp with more headroom than the Elf but didn't want to spend a fortune so grabbed a B stock HB Bass Block to use as a power amp after my sansamp. Tried it all at rehearsal tonight and sounded excellent, bags of headroom, clean and very punchy. I'll hang onto the MB gear until I've had a chance to gig test it all but I think it's going to work. Thanks also to @Calex for his advice as a user of the same cabs.
