Dazed
Not particularly looking at jazz or classical or any other specific style where you often find an upright, but music where you can hear it’s an upright being used.
chris_b
Try Keb Mo and Bonnie Raitt. No uprights used, but music that can sound good on an upright.

baldwinbass
Eberhard Weber - The Colours of Chloe, from the album Colours. Magical, etherial sounds. If that's too jazzy, he's appeared on Kate Bush's albums The Dreaming, Hounds of Love, The Sensual World & Aerial

Huge Hands
Braylon Lacy plays upright on most of Erykah Badu's NPR Tiny Desk. In fact, due to it's intimate nature, there are quite a lot of Tiny Desks with upright bass - you can get lost in there for hours.... Indeed and there is a before and after Esbjörn Svensson in jazz piano and trio, but the OP didn't want jazz nor classical...

Hellzero
That said, you can listen to the two Lou Reed albums with Rob Wasserman, New York and Magic & Loss. Here played live:

lowdown
A 90's band called 'Soul Coughing'. They had an Upright Bassist called Sebastion Steinberg. The music is a mish mash of Hip Hop, Electronic and Rock.
