teaser360 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Not sure if ive put this in the right section, but i hope someone could come up with some help. Myband played a couple of gigs at skegness at the weekend, our lead guitarist had a problem with his main guitar after the first night, he decided to have a look at it back at the campsite, with a bit of luck i had taken my soldering kit with me, pluged the soldering iron into a generator and away we went, wire was lose on a pick up switch, he presto , he then decided to check by plugging the amp in, NOTHING! so hes decided to leave it and check it when we get back home and play the next gig (saturday) with his back up guitar, After setting up PA , plugs in his amp and nothing is coming out of it, power is on, Has he damaged something by plugging into a generator? any advise would be appreciated. iamapirate Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 *ahem. This is the effects section. There's an amp section As long as the generator gave out 240V 50hz AC then it should be ok. You may want to take it to a specialist to check it out Quote
