Well I've done it, correction me mothers done it!

She signed the 12 month interest free option at Guitar Guitar allowing me to own a Fender 50s classic precision bass! :)

Have to say, I'm well pleased with it, looks great, superb tone and the neck...the neck...high gloss chunky fabulous piece of maple!

well chuffed I am!

Downer: its made in Mexico but after a couple f hours with it, I'm not too fussed compares well with my old American pbass!

Will change the anodised gold pickguard to a 3 ply black one and will definitely change the bridge to a fender deluxe/high mass deluxe.

funnily enough, I have had a badass and didn't like it, much preferred the fender bridge.

don't know what it was with the badass II it just didn't feel right.

hiya mate,

I tend to keep all the original stuff from fenders just in case I sell at some point.

20 year old 50s RI, I'm sooo envious!!

love the mirror plate!! but defo black-white-black pickguard! :D

But, because of your picture...I will have to redo my avatar by getting a photo of the pbass up against my rig and a real pic of me! ;)  :)

Can anyone shed light on this?

Been checking the Fender website and it would appear that the new road worn series are made/assembled in Mexico. I checked one out just before buying the 50s classic and I couldn't see much of a difference if any? The spec is almost identical to the 50s classic series!? are they the same? what are they?
