pete.young
I need to replace the pickup blend pot on my Bass Collection SB310. The existing pot is a 250 KOhm , but I can only find 500KOhm replacements (at axesrus) . Can anyone tell me what difference this will make? The Bass Doc
Allparts do one.
BOD2
Some links here http://www.guitarthings.co.uk/cge-pot-cent...250k-1178-p.asp http://www.allparts.uk.com/electronics/250...77_1_81_83.html http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/product/POT_CENTE...D_250K_WD250PAN I think most of these look like "mini" pots - but there's nothing wrong with that and they work perfectly well but just take up a little less space. pete.young
Thanks guys, much appreciated. I should be able to find something there. mini pots are fine, the existing pot is one and there isn't a lot of room in the cavity for anything bigger! Al Heeley
Caution - can of worms here. Allparts and AxesRus as well as quite a few other popular parts outlets blend pots are not true blend pots, even though they insist they are: they are more like 'double-taper' - the centre position will have some residual resistance from both the A and B side which will mean its quiter in the centre than it is at 10 or 2 position. A true blend pot will have zero resistance from both sides in the centre and they are harder to get hold of.
