Fender Squier PJ Bass Guitar in Dakota Red from 2018 with TGI Gig Bag with a PJ pickup arrangement  providing the best of both worlds with a Precision Split Pickup for classic P thump and a Jazz style pickup.for some Jaco ‘honk’ -  Individual volume controls and master tone control gives a vast array of sounds to suit any musical genre, plus the pick ups are very powerful.

 

Solid Poplar body, Maple neck and Indian Laurel Slab fingerboard which has been treated with Fender Custom Shop oil.

 

I’ve had a love / hate relationship with Squier Basses over the years - loved the prices, but not much else. However, these newer ones don’t take too much fettling to make them play as good as almost anything!

 

This lovely Dakota Red finish is no longer an option on new orders.

 

Having owned or at least played umpteen variants of Fender basses over the past half Century, this Bass plays at least as good as most of them and incredibly at this price point - better than more than you would ever expect.

 

In excellent condition with just a couple of marks from normal use, please see pics - there is a minor ding at the bottom of the body that can’t be seen from the front, please see last pic. The light / white spots on the pickguard were reflections in the plastic protective layer, which has now been removed.

 

Comes complete with a TGI lightly padded - possibly 5mm? Gig Bag which is also in excellent condition.

 

Nicely set  up with level frets & no sharp edges, giving a low action (currently 1.5mm at the 12th fret) making it so easy to play. Weight is 8.95lbs

 

Although this would be an excellent ‘back up’ Bass, l would be happy to play it in any situation.
