NikNik
So, I bought this book, 'White Bicycles', by Joe Boyd, about his time in UK in the '60s. In the photographic section there's a photo of then-bassist, Ashley Hutchings, sitting with an RM1999 (4001S). I'm curious about this, as I've never seen anyone from that period with an RM, except Waters, Entwistle, Squire, and Quaife. Is it possible that that's Roger's RM (I think PQ still has his. Correction: had), or were they by then regularly imported into UK? Edited September 9 by NikNik
ikay
I think this vid also shows Hutchings with an RM1999 (scroll to around 5m 30s) Edited September 9 by ikay

prowla
I don't know if there is any info regarding Peter Quaife's one (eg. the s/n). The bass in the pic may or may not be an RM import (ie. RM1999); without details it'll be impossible to know. It looks like (thought it might be the reflection) it has silver-topped control knobs rather than plain black ones. The pic is from the "Liege And Lief" era, or thereabouts isn't it?

I think it’s a photo of the rehearsal sessions for the L & L album, that were done at a rented house in Farley Chamberlayne near Winchester. The last time I saw Ashley H he was playing a Danelectro.
