EBS Fafner owners. Does yours look like this on the inside?

Not the easiest thing to photograph. I've had some issues with the drive circuit in my Fafner and I noticed there was a small red cable that was soldered to one of the transistors near the drive circuit. It feels like a really small cable compared to the other circuitry in the amp so I was wondering if anyone else's looked like that?

 

The actual fault is volume fluctuations when switching the drive switch and the amp making buzzing/crackling sounds on specific frequencies.

Here the cable size doesn't mean a thing. It is just a jump wire.

 

Have you checked all switches? Is there a footswitch? Are contacts clean and functional?
