Peavey mini mega

Hi guys.

i purchased a peavey minimega and it sounds awesome, the only issue or it maybe me but when I plug in my Ibanez ehb5 active pickups enabled using a lead there is no issue but when I plug it in using a wireless there’s a lot of distortion, switching to passive there’s no distortion, anyone else had a similar issue?

Is the signal too "hot" - too much gain from the wireless section output?

 

A cable wouldn't give you that extra gain, so, it doesn't present the same problem.

What wireless is it?

 

Some don't like active basses, the first wireless I tried (a 2.4ghz Aklot unit) didn't play nicely with my EHB 1505, ended up with a Lekato WS90 which works fine.
