All the pre digital photography are missing as well as some that I forgot to photograph like some 1964 Fender Precision Basses... Told ya! Well that was like one of the best slide shows I’ve seen, amazing amount of lovely basses, I’ve probably had around 50 jazzes and precision’s but not the amount of variety you’ve had, lovely 1 Quote

binky_bass Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 (edited) I believe I may have owed 80% of all basses in existence at least for a short period of time... WAY to many have passed through my hands over the years to post. Here's a highlight... there have been, currently are, and will be many more. Edited September 21, 2024 by binky_bass 3 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 I knew it was going to be a total waste of time and space... Nobody is interested in this kind of showoff, not even the OP... Quote

Hellzero Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Thanks Chris aka @Beedster for not even taking a look at around 140 photos! Quote

Steve Browning Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 If it's any consolation. I've looked at all of the pictures and liked the two fretless Precisions, 'cos they're the only ones I actually liked. Each to their own. 1 Quote

Linus27 Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Wow @Hellzero you've had some amazing fretless basses and way more than I've had. Some beautiful basses over the years. 1 Quote

It's an immensely impressive collection by any standard, even by the standards of immensely impressive collections, but certainly seems to veer firmly in the direction of what I've always thought of - rightly or wrongly - the Eurobass side of things. I'm a luddite Brit at heart, I like a Precision, if pushed a Jazz, if really pushed a Wal or a Ric. Despite that massive collection, it was the beautiful '70 Precision that caught my eye the most. Sorry Tony As an aside, I'll never forget - because it was so unexpected and inappropriate - what a musician said to me when he saw me with a Yamaha TRB-6 around my neck. Made me realise that 4 strings and Leo-designed is where my soul resides 2 Quote

I have one that was originally purple and Toby Diggins removed the colour for me and resprayed with clear finish and now it's just the natural quilt maple top. I think mine is 1989. Hellzero Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 I need to reload all the photos with a way smaller size as they ended up eating 50% of my allowed space here... But it will be a big time consuming job. Quote
chris_b Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 I know exactly how lucky have been. . . . and still am. In the last 20 years I've owned a US Lakland 55-94, a Wal mk2, a Wal mk3 and the Mike Lull PJ5 and Sadowsky RV5 Jazz which are my #1 basses today. I've loved playing every one of these guys and they all made me sound better than I could have hoped. Quote
