Here’s a beautiful Cort A5 Artisan Open Pore Black Cherry five string in perfect condition.

 

I’ve owned this from new in April 2015 , from Richards Guitars. Absolutely love the bass and the Bartolini

MK 1 pickups and MK 1 preamp with EQ off/ on switch - not that I switch it off !

Vol Blend Treb Mid Bass.

Through neck 5 piece maple and Panga Panga laminate.

Very light and comfortable at 3.95kg , 8lbs 12oz.

I replaced the rubber O rings on the control knobs ( they get perished after several years even

when kept at home like my bass)

I added fret markers to the lower side of the board. The inset abalone ones are top side

but I need more guidance.

No dinks or dents or scuffs etc. This is totally mint. 

Superb Hipshot bridge and tuners. 

I managed to get hold of a flamed maple FMMH one that’s even lighter ! Hence the sale.

I like flames.

 

 

The only difference between this and the Cort variant A5 Plus Flame Maple Mahogany model ( FMMH)

is that you get a flamed maple figured body top to the mahogany body. With this one you

get an already beautifully characterful maple top to it’s mahogany body. Apart from

that they’re the same - except the mahogany on the FMMH is finished in a dark stain

compared to mine, which has a more natural colour to the back.

 

34” scale and the B string plays very well. My newer one has Flats on it 

vs the D’Addario 45-130 on this one. Both sound wonderful to me.

Nut width 45mm

String spacing at saddles 18mm

Lovely satin finish to the body and neck, satin type finish to

the knobs and bridge.

I’ll double box this for UK delivery. Cort Coffin box inside larger box, well protected

or if you’d prefer, I have an old road worn hard case I could use instead.

It came from California with a bass I bought , so it’s had a right old life!
