Sibob
Is anyone using an ‘off the shelf’ case for their PT Nano? I’m not looking for a full flight case, more like a photography style case. PT do make a case for the Metro that they cite for the Nano plus extra space…but at £130 or so, that’s more than I want to spend. jrixn1
I use a Dewalt Tstak deep box because I put other stuff in there, but a smaller 16" box could work if you wanted to carry only the Nano . I like that it remains upright and so everything inside stays more-or-less where you put it, rather than a briefcase-style box which changes orientation when you pick it up. 1

That’s pretty cool, but yeah, would be looking to only carry the Nano and a few cables perhaps. But Dewalt, cool, I’ll take a look in B&Q or something, thanks! prowla
I watched for sale items on ebay/FB/whatever for a while and eventually something the exact size for my PT (don't remember the precise model) popped up. More of a strategy than a recommendation for a particular item. You can also get interior foam from such as Shadowfoam or Sealey to make things a snug fit. Bassman68
I got this Meijia Peli style camera case from E-bay a while back. It’s pick foam lined & fits my small pedalboard in, along with IEM’s & tablet bracket.. It’s all I need to take to small theatre gigs apart from my dual bass gigbag & stands.
Homatron
There's also Solent Plastics: https://www.solentplastics.co.uk/20-litre-ip67-rated-waterproof-protective-case-with-or-without-foam/
Matt P
I would have to double check the size but would something like this work for you? bought on here a couple of years ago but now surplus to requirements https://www.digibroadcast.com/bags-cases-rain-covers-c67/petrol-pc004-pc-004-deca-dr-camera-bag-p4172 I cant remember exactly which one i've got but this is what it looks like, can check measurements if you think it would be any good. I think i only pad about 60 for it and i'd certainly sell for a bit less to get some space back!
prowla
I prefer an equipment-style case for musical equipment, though I do have a Peli wheeled one for my cables & oddments.

Was also in the market for a hard case for my pedals, so I am now in possession of a new (used, but only opened) Meijia case. 😁 Got a slightly bigger case and it fits my Pedaltrain Classic JR nicely, though did need to trim the foam so the top pedals don't get squashed.

Matt P
the internal dimensions of the petrol bag are 24 cm (width), 44 cm (length), 25 cm (depth), so the nano would fit in there fine with space for cables and other stuff in the outer pockets, it has a smart LED light inside as well for rummaging for cables in the dark. lemmywinks
I'd just get on AliExpress and search "waterproof hard case" tbh, most of the cheaper generic rugged cases are just rebadged imports. You'll be shocked at how cheap they are if you buy them from China yourself. Just measure up the internal dimensions you need and spend a bit of time searching. If you find one with crazy postage then just keep looking, will likely be free with a different seller. Case E here has an inner size of 40cm x 15.5cm x 10cm if that's enough height for you and will be around £17 delivered after taxes: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004953007925.html Edited October 10 by lemmywinks
prowla
I've got some Peli cases, but I prefer musician-styled flightcases for musical kit. I do use a wheeled Peli for cables and suchlike, though. If you're looking for inner linings, Shadowfoam do some rather nice stuff; I have some in a number of tool boxes; you can cut precise shapes into it rather than the foam "pluck & pull" generic foam.
