zonular Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Hey all Couple of pints and it looks like I ordered a bd21i sansamp / Di clone. How do you guys use it? I'm debating a zoom ms60b+ Would the two together suffice for a micro board? Quote
PinkMohawk Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Well, I guess it depends what you're looking to do with effects. Do you want to get wild and make some insane sounds? Or is this just a situation where you want a little compression and dirt, with the odd modulation sprinkled in sometimes? Quote

Compression and dirt for the most part Quote
andruca Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 IME a BDI21 is redundant if you already own an MS-60B. I own a SansAmp RBI and don't use it anymore except for the studio. The MS-60B emulates it OK, and that's what I use for any home recording and live needs. Compression and a dirty "preamp" is 99% of what I do with my Zooms. 1 Quote
fretmeister Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Put it last in the chain so the di can be used as a di if needed. Put an envelope filter, octave, compressor and maybe a drive in front. Job done. 1 Quote
