I loved the original series back in the day, tried watching a rerun episode recently, it had not aged well 😕
squire5
I never watched it right through but I remember the fretless bass in the theme tune. For some reason Mo Fosters name seems important, but it might have been some wee unheard of session man.Still like it though. PaulWarning
Shame John Nettles won't be doing a cameo, the end of the Starsky and Hutch film was brilliant
skidder652003
My claim to fame as an extra in the origional series 🤣 I was working the summer season in Jersey back in the 80s at the Opera House, great days Weirdly they've been filming here in Torquay for the new series this week. There's a super dooper posh house that was used for some cr@ppy reality TV show a couple of years ago. I imagine its the baddies house in some upcoming episode. tauzero
I saw something about the casting of this - IIRC Charlie Hungerford is now a woman.

tauzero
8 minutes ago, PaulWarning said: could be a trans woman, another box ticked How long will you be able to resist saying "woke"? Anyroadup, it's Zoë Wanamaker who AFAIK isn't trans. Irish actor Damien Molony is playing Jim Bergerac. Philip Glenister was in one episode of the original and is returning as a character called Arthur Wakefield, which I suspect will be a recurring character as he's one of the only three mentioned in several articles about the cast.

snorkie635
I seem to recall that the original theme tune was re-mixed or such like. Both versions were good, but one was really great.
Lozz196
First one for me, bass and guitar had better sounds
YouMa
George Fenton wrote it. He did loads of other stuff. A bit like Ronnie Hazlehurst.
