Muppet Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 i have a Fender 18v active circuit in a Dimension bass. I'm getting low background buzz (not hum) which goes away when strings are touched but when pots are touched (vol, treble, mid, bass) the buzzing increases dramatically. When I use the Boss Waza headphones (i.e. wireless) no buzz at all and the sound is perfect. There is no active passive switch. Things I have checked Batteries Leads Amp Location Solder joints Bridge grounding Output jack Any other ideas? Thanks Steve Quote
lemmywinks Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Get some copper tape and shield the cavity, make sure you link the bridge ground to it. Don't need to buy the expensive stuff, can get 5m off AliExpress for about £3.50 which works fine. 1 Quote

It’s only recently started happening though so I’m wondering if there’s a component failure somewhere…. Quote
