I think the same sensitivity accounts for being unable to listen to music when I am working. I have one playlist of really soothing classical music that I can sometimes put on in the background, but even with that I frequently turn it off as being too distracting! I'm like that - I can zone out of conversations if the music gets in the way. Quote
Crusoe Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 I used to work in an office above a large shopping centre in Belfast. At various times of the year there was a guy who played the tin whistle. I say played; in actuality he just played a series of random notes - no tune, no rhythm. He was really a beggar but did this so he could call himself a busker and not get moved on by the police. Then there was the guy who played bagpipes and the guys who played the pan pipes - at least they could all play, bu ti did get on your wick after a while. Lastly, there was a guy who would dress up as Santa in the run up to Christmas and sell wrapped up parcels for a quid from a sack. He would ring a hand bell that went "Klaa-dank, klaa-dank, klaa-dank". A "klaa-dang" would have been ok, but we got "klaa-dank". Quote

Some are quite well known like Christmas Rapping, others are classics any time of year, like this: Finally, a Christmas song I can really get behind! Quote
