Some interesting finishes, especially compared to the new Player series line.

Here are just a few, they have maybe seven or eight more finishes available.

Beryl Red, Aquamarine, Inca Silver, Sunset Orange, Sherwood Green, Azurite Metallic and my favorite, Forest Blue, Fender's most confusing finish name yet!

Ooooh... I like the Azurite Metallic one.

I'm betting it looks great in real life, and at least they got the name right with that one.🤔

Matching headstock puts it over the top.

They seem to be all over the place with these basses...some of the ones with maple fretboards have matching headstocks, while most with rosewood have unfinished headstocks, with several exceptions.

Is there any point to these basses other than different colours? It's like Ford putting out the Model T for ever with different colour schemes every year.

I bought a Hybrid II Jazzmaster last month. I was tempted by the Beryl Red but settled on last year's more traditional White Blonde finish. The quality is exceptional, if I was in the market for another bass I'd definitely look at the Hybrid II range before any US model. The Hybrid range is designed to have more modern specs than the Traditional range, but of course, it's Fender, they don't stray too far off the traditional path.

They run off a battery if you play slower than 30bpm?

Maybe it's the fretboard overhang and extra fret, a feature not usually seen on the MIJ stuff? That's Fendervation for you.

Although, sadly, it looks like another range where you need to remove the neck to access the truss rod. Such a shame they persist with such a terrible feature.
