Hipshot for Rickenbacker 4001.

Hello, searching for a Hipshot for a ‘78 Rickenbacker 4001, I believe the Hipshot model number is BT5.

Hipshot discontinued the BT5 years ago unfortunately.

 

Been looking for one for ages, but no luck.

I think the spacing between the tuners is not large enough to operate the Hipshot on a lot of basses. It fitted some Rics but not all.

 

I'd quite like one for my 4003, but have to put up with a quick twist of the tuner to drop to D.

I have them on 3 of my Rics.

 

 

But they won't fit a 70s one.

I’ve got some on other basses too, plus some waiting for basses (no more Ric ones, though).
