Dan Dare
I love the way advertisers think that saying "Ex Massive Attack" or similar will increase the desirability of an item. "Ex (add band name here)" usually means "has been chucked in the back of vans/trucks, kicked around and generally caned by someone who wasn't bothered about the cost or repair/replacement". A bit like advertising a used car as "Ex Lewis Hamilton".
TheGreek
Currently £400...I wonder what they'll sell for. I suppose that I'll have to wait 8 days like everybody else.

You could make them an offer they can't refuse. Then you can find out earlier What are they worth do you think? Rob
Beedster
Seller seems quite up front?

It looks likely they are hire stock, which tend to get hammered. Given that they are not massively outdated models, it could be that his tech' has advised "it'll cost more than they're worth to fix them. Best to stick them on the 'Bay and get what you can for them".

binky_bass
The seller has been about as upfront as you can be, though the big red flag for me is that he says the clipping is probably due to them needing a new 12ax7 valve... in a separate listing he's selling 9 of these valves, surely if you genuinely thought that valve was the issue, and you have spares of those valves, you'd just replace them? Equally, he might not know how to do that! Semi-tempting, but a definite minefield of potential problems!
Beedster
Something almost scary about the pic in a nuclear/dalek kinda way 🤔 Wonder who won them?
