It just needs that extra P pickup, then change those three volume controls to three blends - neck P/neck J, bridge P/bridge J, then blend between the neck blend and the bridge blend.

 

No, of course I'm not going to do it. It's a 4-string.

Changing the volume of each pickup quickly at a gig must be quite challenging, although removing that fourth pot must have made things considerably easier:

Can you imagine what you might find if you removed the "pickguard"? It would be the luthery equivalemt of an autopsy.

I would add that fourth pickup like @tauzero mentioned, and, instead of blends, simply use a stacked volume/tone per pickup and put a Stratocaster type output at the same place.

 

This way it would be very easy to use, but the sum of the parts would cost more than the body itself.

 

I did something similar with a three pickups bass, but in a way better look and I always use a router...
