Squier Precision body - nitro refin, unintentionally reliced - *SOLD*

This is a lightweight (1.7kg) Squier P body circa 2000. I once had it on a bitsa fretless P bass a long time ago. Eventually I stripped off all the thick poly with a heat gun (and discovered that it is an alder 4 piece body).

I sanded it smooth and refinished it in black nitro over white as at the time I was going for a Scott Thunes look-a-like P ☺️

Although it's wasn't a pro finish, it was good enough for me.

I did the refin at least 10 years ago and it has lived in my bits drawer under my bed eversince, where it has picked up some unintentional relicing from my occasional rummaging.

I've kept it around solely because when it was a fretless that I gigged with, the whole bass was so resonant, acoustically loud, and nicely lightweight. A good one.

I had plans to build it up again but I can't see that happening now.

It would be great for those who like the relic thing and if not, it would be easy enough to refin it in whatever colour suits you, as it would take fresh nitro over the top of what I've done with minimal prep.
