Squier Silver Series P Bass with P 60 pick ups would deal on a Jazz bass - *WITHDRAWN* £500 Grantham Lincs

Early 90's Squire Silver series precision bass,d'marzio P 60 pickups,absolutely super neck on these similar to a Jazz neck super smooth, Rosewood board,few bumps but nothing major,it is 30 year old.Pics show it with a black scratchplate which it came with when I bought it from Alain aka Ead on here,but now has the nice torte one and tug bar as shown on the last pic,,black scratchplate comes with it,I only have a gig bag ,so collection meet only.

This is a very nice P bass folks, much under-rated compared to the more famous JV and SQ Squire basses.

Definitely equal to the JV series - made at the same time but were marketed as a more ‘contemporary’ design - as good as many a US bass of the era too. Fantastic value.

Didn't the Silver Series come about a decade after the JVs?

You are absolutely right I was mixing up my Silver series with my SQ series! That will teach me to not to comment too hastily at the thrill of a MIJ Squier 🤭. Still a fabulous instrument mind you.

The SQ's were also made in the 80's too! in fact they were made alongside the JV's. The JV's being a take on the late 50's Precision, and the SQ's a take on the 60's.
