I know exactly who you are referring to, however the link doesn't seem to go anywhere. That may be a blessing based on previous listings.

Operator error. Now corrected.

It's good of him to note the date on which he finally lost the last of his marbles on the headstock 😅

Also, the subtle advertising of his likely self-published books is a nice touch.

This seems very restrained for The Maestro - just a £20 car boot Strat copy with the headstock hacked & Ronsealed & the tuners brutally wonked. Surprised he found so little to 'improve'!

I wish I lived in his fantasy world... Must be an interesting place to reside free from the bleak reality we all exist in.

Some of his YouTube clips are utter lunacy, I suspect too much acid in the 70's resulted in a trip he never quite came back from.

Almost tempted to read one of his books just to experience a window into his mind.

I'm surprised that that one has hung around for so long (must be 18 months or more) given the way that it oozes craftsmanship, or at least one word starting "cra" anyway.

I think he buys in Teles and Strats in pairs and swaps the necks.

Does he realise that putting the tuners at crazy angles devalues the instruments?

No - every customisation is an improvement to poor designs by the manufacturer.

I think someone on here bought one - can't remember which one, probably the one with the owl on the cover - and left an Amazon review. I have to admire his gall at plugging them on his ebay sales.

At least he’s up front about how ham-fisted he is with tools…

A new neck and almost new body, but my tools slipped a couple of times so there are some scratches. A full pro set up by me in progress but I spoiled the new high G string so that one is different.”

I am filled with confidence that this has been through the hands of a master craftsman.

I know. It’s helpful that he confirmed that, otherwise one might have thought it was being set up by some cack-handed amateur.

2000+ reviews, 100% positive - that’s the real achievement here.

I'd wager that a HUGE percentage of these are him leaving himself feedback through a second account. He does the same with his 'books' on Amazon. The only positive reviews are by him on a second account.

I’m sure you’re right but what I don’t understand is how he’s managing to game the figures.

According to eBay, he’s sold 754 items. He’s received 2010 reviews (at least 1,256 of them for purchases he’s made, presumably) and all of them are positive. A quick look at the feedback from people who’ve purchased shows that they’re from multiple accounts, each with decent amounts of feedback so they seem legit.

I can’t believe that nobody has given a bad review. But equally, I can’t believe that he’s gone to the trouble and expense of setting up and operating multiple eBay accounts just to pretend-buy from himself (and pay the associated fees) just to leave himself glowing feedback.

The absence of 1 star reviews suggests that he’s fudging the figures somehow. I just don’t see how?
