Oscar South Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) I reckon these are both pretty decent, I play a solo which I quite like in All Blues http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/134504/Crosswinds.mp3 http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/134504/All%20Blues.mp3 Enjoy, any critisism is welcome. Thunderthumbs Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Oh yes, really like All Blues. Especially sat here listening to at a quarter past midnight. Very nice mate Quote
The Funk Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Just listening to Crosswinds. Loving it. It'd be great if this was recorded properly. Both guitarists are tasty soloists but their rhythm playing's not as groovy as you and the drummer - and possibly a little draggy. I think your drummer occasionally loses his place slightly when he goes nuts although he's spot on on all the breaks. So, typical basschat story - bass player's the best guy in the band. I'll check out All Blues now and add my thoughts in a mo. EDIT: Really enjoyed All Blues too. You guys are good enough to know what you can work on to make things tighter without anyone else telling you. Edited May 29, 2009 by The Funk Quote
Oscar South Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 Thanks for the great comments people , I don't know about being the best in the band though Funk, the other guys are amazing. I loved playing in this band, one of the most fun things I've ever done. Quote
