Paul S Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 If only this were a shorty I'd have bought it not posted about it! Solid body with DiMarzio pickup, 2 octave neck, proper bridge, brass nut all sorts of other nice things. Bit scruffy but I bet it is a monster. £290!  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135312739262  5 Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 I'm actually really tempted with this 3 Quote
Bassassin Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 You never see these. One of the rare MIJ Hondos too - most were Korean. Good price for a rare bass too. Ā If it was a P/J or J/J I'd be tempted (although neither actually existed!) but I have too many single P basses I barely play as it is. So one of you lot will have to do the right thing! 1 Quote
AndyTravis Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Itās on my watch list with very little intentionā¦but the initial āOOOOHā was big 1 Quote

lemmywinks Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Is that solid mahogany? Will weight about as much as 26 real Danelectros if so! Ā Cool thing though. Quote
Maude Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 I'm assuming that's a DiMarzio Model P pickup as well.Ā Quote
oldslapper Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Put an offer in, was declined thankfully. Donāt need it, but so what.Ā Do I increase the offer or walk away 𤪠Quote

oldslapper Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Thing is Iāve always wanted a danelectro longhorn long scale. Now Iāve put an offer in itās hard to not keep going 𤣠Quote
Maude Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 If I was actually after a longscale Longhorn then I think the asking price is a very fair price for this. If an offer of Ā£250 got it then I'd snap it up, if I was really looking for one.Ā Ā Am I helping? No? š 2 Quote
oldslapper Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 I upped my offer now itās ābeing considered ā Quote
NikNik Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 That's a beast of a neck! Dimarzio with coil tap, or? Quote

oldslapper Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Did a bit of research and reviews on this model. All had good right ups. That Dimarzio with the switching seems to be the star billing. But I always thought that the Longhorn design is cool as flock but I donāt get on with short scale necks. Iām a bit worried about the strap pin placement as I tend to like the horn strap pin on the 12th fret, like Ps and J style. But Iāll get over it, coz Iām shallow. š¤£Ā Iāll do a review.Ā 3 2 Quote
oldslapper Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Iām aware itās a punt, and itās covered in scratches and dings. No idea if the truss rod works and what condition structurally the neck is in. But from images it doesnāt look like anything I canāt sort. šš¤ 5 Quote
