Paul S
If only this were a shorty I'd have bought it not posted about it! Solid body with DiMarzio pickup, 2 octave neck, proper bridge, brass nut all sorts of other nice things. Bit scruffy but I bet it is a monster. £290! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135312739262
dudewheresmybass
I'm actually really tempted with this
oldslapper Posted Thursday at 12:40 Share Posted Thursday at 12:40 That is very cool.
Bassassin Posted Thursday at 17:47 Share Posted Thursday at 17:47 You never see these. One of the rare MIJ Hondos too - most were Korean. Good price for a rare bass too. If it was a P/J or J/J I'd be tempted (although neither actually existed!) but I have too many single P basses I barely play as it is. So one of you lot will have to do the right thing!
AndyTravis Posted Thursday at 18:17 Share Posted Thursday at 18:17 It’s on my watch list with very little intention…but the initial “OOOOH” was big

Unfortunately, unlikely… House renovation means Ripper might be up for sale tonight 😢
lemmywinks Posted Thursday at 19:05 Share Posted Thursday at 19:05 Is that solid mahogany? Will weight about as much as 26 real Danelectros if so! Cool thing though.
Maude Posted Thursday at 19:18 Share Posted Thursday at 19:18 I'm assuming that's a DiMarzio Model P pickup as well.
oldslapper Posted Thursday at 19:30 Share Posted Thursday at 19:30 Put an offer in, was declined thankfully. Don’t need it, but so what. Do I increase the offer or walk away 🤪

oldslapper Posted Thursday at 19:40 Share Posted Thursday at 19:40 Thing is I’ve always wanted a danelectro longhorn long scale. Now I’ve put an offer in it’s hard to not keep going 🤣
Maude Posted Thursday at 20:09 Share Posted Thursday at 20:09 If I was actually after a longscale Longhorn then I think the asking price is a very fair price for this. If an offer of £250 got it then I'd snap it up, if I was really looking for one. Am I helping? No? 😂

oldslapper Posted Saturday at 09:55 Share Posted Saturday at 09:55 Did a bit of research and reviews on this model. All had good right ups. That Dimarzio with the switching seems to be the star billing. But I always thought that the Longhorn design is cool as flock but I don’t get on with short scale necks. I’m a bit worried about the strap pin placement as I tend to like the horn strap pin on the 12th fret, like Ps and J style. But I’ll get over it, coz I’m shallow. 🤣 I’ll do a review. 3
oldslapper Posted Saturday at 12:15 Share Posted Saturday at 12:15 I’m aware it’s a punt, and it’s covered in scratches and dings. No idea if the truss rod works and what condition structurally the neck is in. But from images it doesn’t look like anything I can’t sort. 🙏🤞
