Pedal switch toppers for momentary switches…

…any options other than horrendously overpriced Barefoot Buttons? I’m currently using the Mooer plastic knee for standard switches, but they don’t make versions that fit momentary switches….oh and they need to be tall too haha.

cheers

Thanks very much, think these are for standard 3PDT switches though.

What's the difference? These fit the momentary switches on my HX Stomp, Cuvave Chocolate, and MOD Dwarf, as well as assorted 3PDT switches.

Weird they mention them by type rather than size. 10mm and 8,5 seem fine, although I would say my SPST tap switches in my page turners are the big ones that the mooer caps fit!

Yeah my Mooer caps don’t fit SPST switches, hence the query 🙂.

Is what I was saying - SPST isn't a size, 10mm or 8.5mm is a size, all pole configurations come in all sizes, my SPST switches are the only ones that fit mooer caps!

Well yes, granted! In my, admittedly backwards, head, SPST switches are typically 8.5mm….but fully appreciate that’s not always true though.

The round-shouldered momentary switches I've used on a couple of projects are 8.75mm, the square-shouldered momentary switch on my Zoom MS-50B is 11mm, other momentary and latching 3PDT switches are 10mm. Just tried the Aliexpress one I pointed to on a round-shouldered switch and although it's a bit loose it goes on and the grub screws fix it in place. There's only two grub screws provided for these ones, putting a third in would help and make sure the cap was centred.

The round tops suit momentary switches being used as limit switches i.e. operated by something like a door or moving plate which may approach at a slight angle.

This may be why the small, rounded style is associated with them.

BFB’s arrived, nice quality, easy to fit as you’d expect. I got the acrylics as the leds on these pedals are right by the switches.

These are their ‘Tallboys’ just the right height I think:

Because the cheapy Mooer ones fit the TC Tuner, for that, I just plastic-cemented two together haha:

Job done.
