mikenichols
I did some research, and it seems to be the one to get for rockabilly bass. There are US dealers who offer the pickup with a choice of different preamp, but the only UK dealers I can find who stock it only sell with the K&K preamp. What I want is to either just get the pickup on its own, or get it bundled with the radial pz pre. Has anyone used this pickup? and does anyone know where I could order it without the preamp? BigBeatNut
Have you checked Bob Gollihur's site ? Not used it myself but I'm pretty sure he ships to the U.K. http://www.gollihurmusic.com/product_details.cfm?ProdID=1265 Andy

symcbass
I use the K&K Rockabilly pickups with a D-tar Solstice preamp. I just find It to be a better preamp than the K&K Rockabilly one for mixing two pickups. Rockabillybass.com is a good place to find the K&K's second hand if you haven't asked on there yet. They're good pickups on one bass, not on my other, I use a Planet Wing bridge pickup mixed with a Schaller oyster under the fingerboard into my Solstice on the other bass. The King Dollhead is worth a look too if you want a bridge and clicky set-up.
