The bass sale that turned a (massive) corner…

Wouldn't it be an idea if we were to:
- set a much higher goal for the fundraiser?
- stretch this thing for more weeks, or start a new fundraiser once this one has had its fortnight?

The wetroom extension must be costly, and as said: I believe that more people are in my situation that the next month is better.
(Personally, and maybe that's a tip for one or two, for the fundraiser I had to collect unclaimed Co-op membership savings and lottery winnings.)

How sayeth those who knowe?
Maybe Andy and Clarky have already discussed these things, Idunno.

The only discussion we had was that we hadn’t realised the 14 day rule.

I had thought @ped that this original sale thread is distracting from other folks selling stuff and might it be moved off the sales thread?

I really don’t know what to suggest.

The boiler/Plumber turned up tonight as he got stuck on a job last night - I got stuck with a safeguarding thing at work and got in at 6pm…Dan (our lad) didn’t hear him knocking as he was in the shower.

we have no deadlines yet as the kickoff led to us being prioritised to “within 28 days”…by the OT team - about 7 days ago.

We’re completely knocked out by the entire thing and couldn’t be more grateful.

Whatever @Clarky wants to do.

I’d never disturb Indiana Jones on a mission, or stop Batman from his caped crusades.

as a point @Clarky- Iris has her morning planned…

”I’ll do him a good picture” and she wants to draw a bass, not to be outdone - Maggie wants to draw a picture for you too x

  • AndyTravis changed the title to The bass sale that turned a (massive) corner…

For context, I am a 61 year old bloke with grey hair and a non-Olympian physique .. kind of the average BassChatter. I would imagine a picture of my sausage dogs would be more appealing!

a picture of your sausage?

oh…sausage dog….

as a point…

can you DM me a recent pic so iris can find her muse? X

If Iris wants to draw a bass (which would be massively more attractive) then a Wilcock Mullarkey in classic white (like wot I have) please! Pic to follow

Deeds not words are needed here. Don't sell the bass Andy. Let's behave like a community and help one of our own. I'm in. Here's to Iris

Just catching this having seen @Clarky other thread. @AndyTravis thanks for being open about what was needed and giving us all the opportunity to help out. It’s no more than Trav Jnr deserves ❤️

I'm late to the party as well but happy to chip-in.   I guess there may be others who haven't seen this thread properly yet, so I would be inclined to keep the JustGiving link open a bit longer.   Well done @Clarky and all, it feels pretty good to be a basschatter today.  Best of luck to @AndyTravis and family.

What is so heartening is not just the absolute amount raised for Andy and his family but the fact that 186 (and counting) BassChatters have donated. That's an incredible display of community spirit

Only just now did I realise than my sentence about you and @Clarky discussing this, possibly could be taken as me thinking that you might be a partial driving force in the fundraising process, Idunno.

In case: FAR FROM IT!

First, I have you down as a "man of honour", and I only thought that Clarky might've asked you whether you could be persuaded to accept more money for Iris' sake, and whether you needed the money now or could also wait.
Second, my sentence was more naive than anything else, and also: my English is not as good as some people think it is (please accept this; I know what I'm talking about) and will always be a course approximation of what I try to express. (Yeah, I'm aware that "approximation" has more than two syllab. 😉 )
