AndyTravis
2 hours ago, rwillett said: I've been playing with alternatives to Barefoot Buttons for my pedalboard and have this design which I shamelessly stole off Thingiverse. These work really well, they are plastic rather than metal and fit 10mm foot switches. They do not fit the smaller foot switches yet, e.g. my own Mod Dwarf, but I'll adapt the design when I have time. These are in sparkly blue as thats whats on both my printers at the moment. but I can do red, black, white, Prusa Orange (thats the orange you see on Prusa printers), yellow and any other colour that I have lying around. I'll do these for a £1 each, you tell me the colours and I'll pay the cheap postage in the UK, you simply make a donation to this fund for Iris. So if you want 10, make a £10 donation and let me know and I'll print them up and send them to you. Any special requirements drop me a message and I'll see what I can do. This is mint mate! rwillett
A couple of pics to hopefully wet peoples appetites for the pedal toppers. You are seeing them very close up (< 10cm), so ignore the print lines. From left to right Galaxy Black Galaxy Blue Prusa Orange Fire Engine Red And on a green (shudder) pedal Hope this piques peoples interests. merello
Cannot believe I have not seen this before! Now I am gutted I have seen it and, being a tightwad, have felt I had to contribute! 😉 Tiny drop added to a big ocean of love and support! All the best Andy and well done Mr Clarky! Rob I shall measure the diameter of the switches on my home-made usb page turner and report back. I like the orange, although we don't need any more Big Orange Knobs in the world after Thursday... Clarky
On 08/11/2024 at 10:59, Clarky said: As I understand it, the 14 day rule is for the first draw down. It's to allow background checks to ensure its not money laundering (I think). Once that step has passed, I assume the balance of funds (reflecting donations post 14 days) can be withdrawn as and when. So could run for as long as wanted, but with a max of 1 year. I have emailed JG but their response times are sloooooowwwww Update, as I am sure all you kind donors will want to know the money is on it's way to help Andy, Iris and family. So I pressed the button on withdrawing the available balance yesterday (NB, not all the funds had yet cleared to JG, as some were donated by credit card) and it will take 4-6 working days to land. So with luck, the vast majority of the balance will be with Andy around the end of this week. I will then withdraw the remaining balance, plus any new donations, and discuss with Andy how much longer to let this run. Thanks again to everyone ... that's around 250 people pulling together to help 😍 Edited November 10 by Clarky 19

I'm going to have a look at making my own parametric design in Fusion 360 so I can fit different foot switches and also have different external diameters. So if you have a busy pedal you might want slightly smaller pedal tops. Edited November 10 by rwillett

rwillett
19 hours ago, Richard R said: I shall measure the diameter of the switches on my home-made usb page turner and report back. I like the orange, @Richard R I've redesigned the pedal tops so they are now fully parametric. This means all the parameters are controlled from a set of variables that are easily changed. What this means is that you can now have the diameter you like, the height you like, the ability to fit any sized foot switch, many seem to be 10mm though the Mod Dwarf is 8.75mm in size, smooth top or concentric circles or if you do a larger donation, I'll put a unique (ish) design on top. So if you need pedal tops, and would like something a bit different, let me know. Here's a smooth top version, and a small version (diameter and height) that fits an 8.75mm footswitch. Thanks Rob
WalMan
I keep coming back to this thread as a little place of solace and light in an increasingly cr@ppy world Tried to explain it to wifey who is the worlds biggest cynic and I was expecting the ghost of her mother's derisive snort to rear it's head. Actually I never got past "there's this bass for sale ad on BC at the moment..." and got no further. She's currently expecting a parcel with another bass in it to arrive any day now

She's currently expecting a parcel with another bass in it to arrive any day now Think of it as an opportunity then ... She' s now expecting a parcel, so it would be unfair, in fact downright wrong, to correct her. There's a lovely Maruszczyk Elwood short scale and if I had the money, I'd love to buy it. Anyone want a Fender Mustang in lovely condition Rob
