Sansamp Tech 21

Hi Everyone
I have a Sansamp tech 21 rack module and would like to use it with my Hartke 3500 head and was wondering what would be the best way to set them up.

Although I’m not familiar with either, I’d guess that the best way to do it would be to use the effects return on the back of the HA 3500 – I’d guess this would be the simplest solution.

I guess you're referring to the RPM or RBI which are preamps. If you want to use it as a tone shaper in additon to the Hartke's core sound, then you should place it in front of the Hartke's preamp, i.e. rack unit's output to the head's input. If, however, you want to use the rack as it was originally designed, you'd be better off plugging the unit's output into the amp's effects return (thus bypassing the amp's pre amp circuit) and plugging into the rack unit's input. This way you can access Tech21's tones without the Hartke's preamp colouring the signal.
