pobolycwm Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 have any of you got a recommendation for a set of plans to build a solid state bass amp. i want to have a go making one for a bit of fun as it will make a change from building lighting control circuits for the pikeys and their fairground rides cheers pob Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 There are bunches of plans about for Acoustic style SS amps, most people are obsessed with building valve though. I opened up mine and it seems fairly simple. Quote
nick Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 If you're OK with working from schematics try Free Info Society or Schematic Heaven, loads of diagrams on both sites. Quote
pobolycwm Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 a quick tech question for anyone who may know to practice making an amp i have purchased the vellermann 200w power amp kit and i am gonna use it on the wifes electric piano to save her plugging it into my hifi. has anyone built one of these before. going by the plans i can add a volume control to the input and adjust the gain from an onboard pot, but are there any other mods that can be done like adding a treble control and such like????
