I'm "happy" that you at least have had the energy to have filed that complaint in your circumstances, as they do need to be confronted with their doings.

As to the mad bonkers stuff, I think that the lads and lasses of BC are just happy to be able to contribute a little; it's not only about feeling with your situation, but also about who we want to see in the mirror at the end of the day.
