cetera
Here for your delectation is an original 'top of the range' 1991 Ibanez Soundgear SR1000 PN bass in the rare 'purple neon' (PN)/flipflop finish! The colour changes from a warm pink through purple (main colour) to a hue of blue and it looks fab under stage lights! I obtained this lovely bass about a year ago, but sadly it's not getting a look in due to my Spector fetish 😉🤦♂️🤣 Time for someone else to enjoy it! Ash body Slim and thin Maple neck Ebony fingerboard 24 frets/34" scale Accu-cast B-IV bridge Gotoh machineheads Ibanez AFR PJ active pickups Active 2 band EQ, vol & balance controls Condition is generally very good for its age. A few small scratches & lacquer chips as would be expected and can be be seen in the pics. Price is what I paid for it, which is a very reasonable £500. The ONLY trade I'd be interested in is a Squier Classic Vibe 60's Precision in 3TSB (to scratch a vintage itch) and £230 cash. Payment by cash on collection from Sandhurst/Camberley area... Paypal (you pay fees) or direct bank transfer. I can ship with courier of your choice at your cost (I have shipping boxes). Please see my very extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, honest transaction. cetera
@flippyfloop - I see you liked my post! Is it because of the flip(py)flo(o)p finish on it? 😂🤣😁

Brother Jones
In my experience, these early Soundgears are among the best MIJ basses in existence; right up there with early 80s Arias or Tunes. Yes, the necks are remarkable, as are the electronics and the PUPs (those are genuine low impedance active PUPs). I owned an SR1000 and an SR800 at the start of the 90s and really should not have moved them on. Now actively considering where I can dredge £500 from....
Woodinblack
That looks great, if I played 4 I would certainly be looking at getting that, a true classic and cheap for what it is.
biro
Incredible. I have too many early soundgears to even consider it, but I will consider it, against my better judgement!

xgsjx
Oooh. Never seen a purple one before. It’s in great nick too. My go to bass is an Ibanez SR1000 that I bought new in early 1990. Just a great feeling, comfortable bass to play. Bought an Aguilar PJ & OBP-2 off you about 1 1/2 years ago & they sound great in the SR. Whoever takes this off you won’t be disappointed. 1
Doctor J
I'd love to be able to get that colour in an SR800LE 😀
