Is it for bassists though? https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-fet-compressor/ says “Optimised for guitar”.  It’s a different model  https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-bass-compressor/ which is for bassists.

Why not? Having used it for six months, I would say it works very well with bass. Only moving it on due to a tube compressor purchase 👍

Im pretty sure this works absolutely fine on bass. Just like any studio grade compressor. Just because there is another product in their lineup with a HPF, dosent make this any less capable of a compressor for bass guitar. You could argue that having controll over the Attack and release seperately, is more important for a bass player than having a HPF. Horses and courses.
