AndyTravis
They didn’t get the iterations of the Grabbers or rippers right in that 2009-2011 run. The Ripper was natural with a rosewood board…the headstock was more “square” The Grabber had the slider pickup, but it was a chrome guitar style pickup…it was a set neck, not bolt on. This G3 didn’t have the right pickups or pickup spacing and wasn’t bolt on either. I recall sending 2 of the 3 G3 reissues back as the break angle from the nut made the G string ping out if played harder than a mild breeze… They were a big swing - to be admired, but a massive miss - to be lamented. They did something similar with the RD a few years later. They probably made about 6 of them…😏 Edited 2 hours ago by AndyTravis
Jean-Luc Pickguard
I think that G3 is the same one I saw on reverb this morning: https://reverb.com/uk/item/85356190-gibson-g3-reissue-2012-honeyburst
