Up for grabs is a beautiful example of the latest generation of American Precisions, the Professional 2. Serial number dates it as 2021, but it would pass for a 2024. 

 

Black, maple neck, black pickguard.

 

Fitted with a brand new set of DiMarzio Model P pickups……cream, for the full-on 70’s vibe. Orignals not included…..these are much better! 😉

 

The story - I wanted a backup for my Ricky, which I play 99.9% of the time. I bought this in September from Will at BB. Given what we play, I wanted that late-70s thing, and the most aggressive P-tone out there. My Luthier did a cracking job, and it sounds great. 
 

However, another P fell in to my lap on here (thank you @Brucegill)…..and then a tax bill, more medical bills for further eye surgery……you get the idea. So I only can justify keeping 1…..so this one is the one I have to move on. 
 

Condition is excellent…..we all know how black shows every mark under light, usual light polishing cloth stuff, etc). But there no gouges, dents, scrapes….it looks amazing. BB had it weighed just under 9lbs, I’d personally put it more on that number on my scales. 

 

Original hard case (unused) with all the tools, etc.
