ive had guitars sent and delivered by courier through the buy and sell forum on here, always been ok although I understand you might feel a little nervous going down that route.

Sire V5. I have one, it’s awesome and would have saved me a lot of wasted money had it been around when I was a youngster! Only negative is weight, my mex P feels a lot lighter.

Id second this ,she wont go wrong with a Sire V5,can't be beaten for the price IMHO.

Another vote for the Squires. I’ve got on of the origial CV60’s and it has outlasted other Jazz basses ive had. Squier are well made these days and the necks are really nice.

Id vote against the Sires. As much as i loved my frist Gen it was heavy with a chunky neck, and as the briefings mentioned preferably passive id say look for passive basses rather than active and not use it.

A sire Jazz with a chunky Neck hmmmm

After getting no response from people selling a Sadowsky Metro and lovely 1984 Tokai Sound, I spotted a MIM Fender Player II which I don't think has been played, its still got the cellophane on the pickups, tuners, pickguard and control plate and its £250 less than rrp sp I bought it.

Now I've just got to find somewhere to hide it until Christmas.

Her band are headlining a show for the first time next weekend, it's so tempting to let her have it for that.

Wonderful present Steve, they are great jazzes, I think jr will be very pleased

I’d do that Steve, first headline show with her new bass to make it even more special.

It's very tempting. It's being seriously considered.

They're really excited. It's in the venue where they played their first support set and now they've got two support acts with them.

Headline act, new bass, sounds like an ideal time and place....

Playing devils advocate. A different feeling bass could be enough to throw your performance off. Mix that with the nerves of headlining and it might not play out as the dream scenario.

Oh I like that. Player series are great instruments, I'm starting to get a bit twitchy now I've seen that one. I think the player 2 series have rolled fingerboard edges if I remember rightly....😍

I think it's lake placid blue

Its a lot lighter than my Lake Placid Blue Jazz.  This is a 97 in Lake Placid blue, I think you have Pelham Blue.

Though after saying that I spotted this on Reverb which they claim is Lake Placid blue.

and then went down the rabbit hold and found these load of Fender blues

So I have absolutely no idea what colour it is, black, red, purple?

That’s by far the darkest I’ve seen, and translucent too? Does the Fender paperwork confirm its LPB?
