Steve Browning
As there are many threads around this topic (and some very recently) here, it would be a bit insulting to rehash any of those arguments here. If your decision is made and you're happy with it then I can only wish you well, and hope I can resist the basses when they turn up!! 3

meterman
I quit gigging at the end of 2019 but still kept two basses for recording projects, and I'm glad I did. We're all different though, and we all have different needs and wants. I hope you're alright in your decision and are feeling okay with it. Best wishes 👍 1

dmccombe7
As others have already said "when you know, you know". Hopefully you'll stay in touch thru our wee BC family. All the very best in whatever you do now. Dave

I still probably play bass 5-6 times a week!

steantval
When I stop gigging, which will most probably be in the next couple of years, I will do exactly the same, sell everything, I have zero interest in hanging on to my gear and just playing at home, it’s quality gear and I would sooner see another musician benefit from using it.
dmccombe7
At 64 i expect i'll be in that position in a few yrs too but i'll probably keep some of my gear just for sentimental reasons and i enjoy a bit of playing at home. Dave
