ShaunB Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) Didn't reach reserve on the bay, so offers around £700 - go on, ya know ya wanna... I can't believe I'm selling this as it's one of the best basses I've played. In the best colour combination IMO. But with arrival of Mark's 4-94, it has to leave the stable. Skyline series, cherry sunburst, active (with pull passive - but why would you?), maple neck and fret board, J/MM Barts, Lakland pre-amp and the sweetest neck you'll find. It has a new set of Lakland Custom Wound Nickels on it. You can read all about it at http://www.lakland.com/basses/44-02.htm Primo condition with one small blemish on top of the neck at the nut - not a ding or dent, just a small mark that looks like a light stain, hardly noticeable, but thought I'd mention it - the rest is proper nice. Comes with a hard case and I can send it from my local shop for £35 (insured) or anyway you'd prefer. Edited September 14, 2007 by ShaunB
Sibob Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Beautiful Lakland, I assume its just a cash sale you want rather then trades?! Just posted my Fender Deluxe up for a possible trade Cheers Si
ShaunB Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Sorry Si, one of the Lakkies has to go - and I'm quite glad it's not the BG... so, no trades ta. Giss a shout when you sell the Deluxe...
Marcus Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I'm looking at this thinking..... whoooor !! I'd quite like one of those, then I realise the only reason it's for sale is because Shaun's just bought my 4-94 !! Bass Gas eh !! Looks great !!
ShaunB Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 ...it is lovely... now just imagine it in tobacco sunburst with a bird's eye maple neck... um... er... hang on... :-) Gotta go to a new home! Great savings on a 4-94!
ShaunB Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 Price reduced! Price reduced! Price reduced! Price reduced! ooh er!
Sibob Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 *Cries slightly* In one way i hope you still have this in a month of two, but i obviously wish you luck in selling it lol Have a bump Si
Sean Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 have a bump on me. For all those people who ask, "What kind of bass should I get for *add genre here*?", this is the answer.

Riddler Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Cheers anyway. Looks like you have very modern set up with Laklands and Markbass. How does the 4-94 compare with the 44-02? from the blurb on the website it looks like the US built stuff is of superior build quality but is it worth the price difference? Cheers Graham
