I didn't think that was much of a saving until I saw how much they were asking originally... 😳

I was a bit suprised at how much they've gone up.

I used to get them for around £25 on Amazon, but that seller disappeared a couple of years ago.

There are some on Amazon at the moment for less than £30 but I've heard so many stories about people getting fake strings from Amazon that I'd rather trust an actual guitar shop.

Fair point. I always get mine on Amazon, no issues yet thankfully! Luckily I rarely need to buy them as they last ages 😄

I've played DR Hi Beams for a long time and they are the best (for me). I buy mine from the US at fretnation.com to take advantage of much lower US prices. Three sets just arrived for which I paid £78 which included the £14 shipping fee.

Also if you order from them before November 11th they are offering free international shipping

on all orders over $75. Great company, used them many times.

Have prices for strings gone up in general, or is it just certain strings? About 3-4 years ago I used get Dunlop Flatwounds from guitar guitar for £30, and when I went to buy a new set recently, most places were asking for about £80.
