I'm a Jazz Bass guy. I like Fenders. I like plain finishes, not too flashy. I like rosewood fretboards. I like passive basses.

 

So, why not buy a Sterling Ray34 with a roasted maple neck and a blue sparkle finish?

I tend to go for straightforward things , but showed my wife a photo of a big orange hollow body Gretsch , she took one look and said “get it”.

It’s been a favourite ever since.
