MikeBass Posted Saturday at 15:42 Share Posted Saturday at 15:42 due to not having done a gig for two years now - and having no inlination to do any - I guess I can say I'm retired from gigs now so, it's time to let go of a few of my basses. also for sale on this site are: Rickenbacker fireglo 4001 bass - 1980 Chowny SWB-1 short scale bass Markbass tube headMarkbass transporter 2x10. I bought this in 2012 and it's done hunbdreds of gigs and recordings. if you are looking for a 'showroom quality finish' bass...stop here. 1989 stingray. 4 string, 4 bolt neck, 3 band eq, older style bridge with mutes (minus foam) A Superb bass but has a couple of modifications. At first when shipped from the factory the bass was fretless. the fretless board has been replaced with a birdseye maple flamed one by Martin Peterson at the Gallery in London and the workmanship is flawless as you would expect. The neck is visually stunning both front and rear. The body has been refinished. The bass previously was trans red. The bass has been refinished in white however this has not been done professionally but looks well. Sound wise, that big fat stingray tone is there. Plentry of growl. £1595 in ABS case prefer pick up or meet up but can ship, at buyer's expense, in case and I have a box. cab be tried out with my MB rig (unless it sells first) Any questions please ask. The bass is all original aside from the fretboard,finish and pickguard but the workmanship is superb.
